I know what it feels like to be the child who dreads the school bell. To walk into a playground and feel like you’re walking into battle. To be spat on, shoved, excluded, and called names that echo long after the final bell rings.
Bullying isn’t just a childhood rite of passage—it’s a targeted, ongoing form of emotional and physical abuse. And for many children, especially those who are quiet, different, or socially reserved, it leaves scars that shape their self-worth for years to come.
I was that child.
In the 1970s, bullying was common in private and public schools. I was isolated, mocked, and physically assaulted. My grades slipped. My confidence vanished. I became a loner—not by choice, but by survival. I internalised the abuse, believing I somehow deserved it. And like many boys of that era, I never spoke up. I just endured.
But something shifted. I found refuge in running, cycling, and tinkering with machines. I discovered strength in movement and meaning in persistence. Slowly, I rebuilt myself—from the inside out.
Today, I run a national counselling and consulting practice. I’ve turned my lived experience into a mission: helping children, teens, and adults reclaim their power after trauma, bullying, ADHD, and anxiety. I’ve trained extensively in these areas and advocate fiercely for those who feel unheard or unseen.
If your child is struggling—if you see signs of withdrawal, anxiety, low self-esteem, or social isolation—please don’t wait. These moments matter. Their future depends on how we respond now.
I offer compassionate, evidence-based counselling tailored to each individual’s journey. Whether it’s your son, daughter, or even yourself—healing is possible. And it starts with a conversation.
Reach out today - here. Let’s walk this path together.
